The soprano and researcher Lorena García studied singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo en Barcelona. She began specializing in early music singing with the countertenor Carlos Mena and continued with Lambert Climent at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalonia (ESMUC). She has also participated in seminars on medieval music performance at the ESMUC conducted by Pedro Memelsdorff and Juan Carlos Asensio, and has studied liturgical singing with Marcel Pérès and medieval song performance practice with Dr. Mauricio Molina at the Conservatory of Girona. Lorena performs with Magister Petrus, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, La Capilla Real de Madrid, Capella Peñaflorida, Il Nobile Diletto, Les Alysés, Speculum, and the Ensemble Baroque de Toulouse. She teaches voice at the International Music Course of Vitoria, and is currently researching on singing issues in the performance of historically-informed music.
