The multi-instrumentalist Gustav Näsman Olai plays medieval string and wind instruments. He has a special interest in medieval performance practice and organology, and has studied musicology at Stockholm University (Sweden). As a performer he has played around Scandinavia for many years, as well as teaching at workshops and hosting a podcast about medieval music. Since 2018 he has studied a variety of theoretical and practical subjects at the International Course on Medieval Music Performance in Besalú. Gustav collaborates with Dr. Meghan Quinlan for her videocast on medieval music, Chanter m’estuet.

The International Course of Medieval Music Besalú offers singers and instrumentalists the possibility of studying the repertoires of monodic and polyphonic music composed between the 11th and 13th centuries.
